In the United States, the Corporate Practice of Medicine (CPOM) doctrine strictly separates business operations from clinical judgment. We adhere to this by acting solely as the technology layer.
When a patient submits an async intake form, our system seamlessly routes it to an independent, licensed clinician in the correct state. That clinician—and that clinician alone—reviews the medical history, evaluates the symptoms, determines the appropriate diagnosis, and signs the prescription. We provide the encrypted chart and the fulfillment rails, but the clinical relationship remains sacred and untampered.

Is Telea a medical practice?
No. Telea is purely a software and administrative services company. We provide the technology infrastructure, but all medical care is provided exclusively by independent, licensed clinicians.
Can I bring my own doctors?
Yes. You can seamlessly bring your existing clinical team onto the platform, or you can choose to route your patient intake to our network of independent partner clinician groups.
Do you guarantee medication delivery times?
We provide the technical capacity to route orders to pharmacies that ship nationwide, but we do not guarantee specific delivery dates (e.g., "next day delivery"). Fulfillment speed always depends on pharmacy capacity and courier schedules.
How do you handle HIPAA compliance?
We execute a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your clinic prior to processing any data. Our platform utilizes strict row-level security, encryption at rest, and immutable audit logging to ensure PHI remains secure.
What if a patient is denied treatment?
If an independent clinician determines a patient is not eligible for treatment based on their medical history, the case is closed. The platform can then automatically process a refund for the consultation fee based entirely on your clinic’s custom policies.
